MAKE UP / Perfect Cat Eye

It’s been a busy and exhausting couple of weeks so I do apologize for the lack of posts. In between, getting settled into the new year, sweaty hot yoga sessions, work and time moving so fast – I totally forgot that it’s already February and almost my blog’s 2nd anniversary (!) I’m working on another post regarding this but still need to put some finishing touches on it. It should be ready by next week, though.

In the meantime, I’d like to introduce you to two of my new favorite products and what I would like to call “The Secret to the Purrrfect Cat Eye”. Get it? Purrr-fect. (Geez…I am lame, dramatic and this is probably not even a secret. Plus, I’m sure 800 other people have already used this tag line).

Cat Eye

I’ve said this before, I’m a huge mascara person, that can be seen here. Fast-forward two years later L’oreal Telescopic Mascara is still one of my all-time favorites so whenever they come out with a new one, I’m all over it like jelly on peanut butter. Though, I think this one (Shocking Extensions) has got to be my favorite one so far from their Telescopic line. It’s pretty darn amazing and when paired with this Milani eyeliner, it’s all you really need to get that easy cat-eye look. The tip of the eyeliner is perfect for creating that curve in the outer-corner of your eyelid. It might take some practice but you’ll get it. Both of these products can be found at your local drug or grocery store or online. If you’re looking for a tutorial on cat eye looks, I’m pretty sure you’ll be able to find tons on Pinterest or the internet.

Oh, I almost forgot! The mascara is not runny! This means I no longer look like a cracked-out scary monster with black undereyes at the end of the day. Plus, the eyeliner stays on way past the time it needs to. So there, you got it – the perfect cat eye and the perfect way to not look scary. Awesome.
