Yes, I’m still here! I’ve just been pretty busy the last couple of weeks, so much so, that I haven’t even had time to put on clothes. Kidding…that would be uncomfortable and extremely awkward. Anyways, the point is…I’m back, I have clothes on and I took some pictures.
Taaa-daaah! Brightly colored pants in the work place! Who would have thunk it? I don’t know about you guys, but I really love this colored pant trend. Now, that they make them in materials suitable for work – it’s always a fun way to add a pop of color to your outfit. Though, I will have to say that some colors may not fly in all work environments. I don’t think it would be too awesome for a lawyer to walk into court with bubble-gum pink pants on. However, that doesn’t mean they can’t sport something like dark green, maroon, tan or camel, dark red, etc. Case in point, there are colors out there that can be worn in your respective work environments. Once you throw on a nice top, blazer/cardigan and heels, it puts it all together in a sophisticated way. I’m not going to lie, I’m pretty happy that the work-world has moved on from black, navy, brown and tan and has started embracing color. It almost makes getting up in the morning a tiny bit less painful. Maybe? For some?
On another tangent, this week marks the first week of school for so many. To be honest (because you know, I don’t do that here), I always looked forward to the first day. This is not because I was really excited about learning something new, expanding my knowledge and making new friends (geez…I was terrified of making new friends, I’d rather sit in a corner and read a book – again, this hasn’t changed much) but it was really because of school supplies. I never bought those packs of supplies that the school or grocery store sold. One, because we had to give half the stuff to the teacher (umm…why?) and two because I didn’t pick them out. I was really into buying them and was very specific of the kinds I had to have. (When I say really I mean like really really into it). Sorry, no Rose Art markers for me – it was Crayola or bust. School supplies smelled so good and looked so clean that I never wanted to use them. Of course, the teacher was not fond of me writing with invisible ink so eventually I had to cave in. Let’s be real – this obsession hasn’t stopped. If I could name a Crayola crayon after the color of my pants, it would definitely be Tangerine Tango. (See, I told you it hasn’t stopped).
