I was actually a bit weary when I bought this skirt 4 years ago. At that time, color was huge but not as trendy in a work-wear environment. Regardless, I needed more color in my wardrobe so I bought it thinking I’d wear it a couple of times here and there. I was wrong. I’ve worn it so many times that now the lining on the inside is a little saggy and I need to alter it.
I’ve worn it a couple times on the blog already, seen here and here. I think this is one of my favorites – navy and orange will always be great together. It’s also comfortable and work-appropriate. Plus there isn’t anything fussy about it considering it’s just a striped top, colored skirt, nude wedges and a chunky-chain necklace.
You could easily swap the colors by wearing a navy skirt or pants with an orange/coral/tangerine top—which might be a lot more subtle for a business environment, like this.
I ended up wearing nude wedges but you could also opt for a blush colored, brown or ivory pumps.
