After spending Halloween in Vegas a few years back – it’s been a little bit hard to really top this day. I normally don’t do a lot for Halloween, it usually just consists of passing out candy and a bit of outside décor. However, this year I seem to have gone above and beyond celebrating this day, even though I didn’t really dress up nor go to a party (and I will not be going Trick or Treating – double boo!). However, I did manage to go pumpkin carving, decorate our house, help Ameeta make a Halloween wreath, make cinnamon pumpkin french toast, and help decorate Halloween cupcakes. Based on all of this, you’d think I’d be Halloween-ed out but I’m really not. Halloween is so much fun, in fact I think it should be a national holiday so everyone can really enjoy it.
Here are a few glimpses of what I’ve been doing the last couple of weeks in preparation for Halloween. (Unfortunately, I don’t have pictures of the completed wreath and cupcakes but I should be getting them soon and will post them).
My carved pumpkin – I named him Twilight (after the time of day not the vampire books!)
Ameeta’s was so cute – I couldn’t help posting it.
Festive Halloween goodies for a wreath.
Ghostly milk jugs line the walkway leading up to our door.
Attempting to fullfill my fantasy of being a pirate.
Tonight I’ll be trading in my dagger for some leopard print ears and passing out the “good” candy to all the cute little Trick or Treaters. I’m also really hoping these two will land at my door…
