The last time I traveled over seas was when I went to India and made a one week stop to London on my way back – this was 14 years ago. (That sounds even more pathetic when I see it typed out). However, something would always come up that would prevent me from going – high school, college, work, grad school, more work – but this year I made the decision that I would go abroad – no matter what.
My best friend of 23 years moved to London a few years ago and I’ve been dying to visit her ever since. The first time I went to London, I did all the touristy things – Big Ben, Buckingham, central London etc. This time its going to be different – she’s made an amazing itinerary that will take me to Notting Hill, Westminster, Pettycoat Market, high tea at Wosley, Oxford, Stonehenge, National Gallery Museum and tons of other things in between!
It’s going to be such a fantastic experience and I can’t wait to share it with everyone. Hopefully, I’ll be able to blog a little bit while I’m there. If for some reason I can’t – I promise to write about it as soon as I get back and post pictures.
My goal is to come back a bit more cultured, refreshed, de-stressed, and a lot more fashion savvy.
Before I leave I want to let everyone know that this is the month to stock up on any winter clothes you think you’ll need for this upcoming fall/winter. Pretty much everything will go on sale so try to stock up or replace somethings – scarves, gloves, boots, cardigans, etc. This way you don’t have to pay full price for it all when the colder months set in again. Nothing will really go out of style so I wouldn’t worry about that. Start dusting off your spring and summer clothes too – you’re going to need them soon!
P.S. To my little Houstonians – I’ll be thinking of you while I shop at H&M!
